22 years after the first prototype, and 13 years after PaperFold, Apple has announced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone. It includes not just the form factor, but many of the interaction techniques pioneered here, including the popup shape-based keyboard/trackpad. While HML technologies already featured in FaceID and the attention-aware interaction techniques of iPhones, this is the first time that Apple has adopted an entire product category.
